The inaugral match of the two woods was truly a nail biter.
Ted Hood and John Proffitt had levelled the scores at 20 ends, so a winner takes all end on the 21st. The shot changed hands several times but David Fairs drew to within an inch with the last wood of the match 17-16. G 8-)reat match

Friday the 18 July was obviously 2 wood pairs day.

This is a very good format and good fun to play.

Luigi Petretta and Martin Joyce win 17-16 and are the first Semi finalists.

Gary Wyatt and Bill Wilcox eased themselves comfortably into the semi finals beating a strong pair made up of Tony Hill and Keith Brinsmead.

David Fairs and Alan Messer now in the semi final and will play Gary and Bill
Matthew Smith and Roy Barclay needed an extra 22nd end to beat Colin Kent and Ashley Harrison 20-19 they play Martin and Luigi next

17 all after 20 ends Alan Messer and David Fairs hold 4
Gary Wyatt looked upwards for inspiration from Fordy.
Brian smiled down and Gary's wood finished inches from the Jack.
No this wasn't Gary's dream it really happened that way.
Good luck to Bill and Gary in the final.
