You will definitely play if you either had your name down, or you just turn up if you didn't. This only applies to the opening drive, all other club games, friendly or league are selected. the clubhouse will be unshuttered from tomorrow.

We had three rinks and one triples celebrating the April Sunshine, only a few clouds to worry about, no rain at all to spoil the day .
Matches were played on rinks 2-5 playing North South.
Rink 2
Tony Simmonds, Ted King, Stuart Shwartz and Skip Ray Elliott 8 lost to Brian Knight, John Upton, Gus Roberts, and Skip David Fairs 27.
I'm sure Ray would tell you that David had all the luck!! Great to see Stuart our newest member on the green alongside Ted King who I'm sure is now in his 97th Year!! For David's team, it was good to welcome back Brian after a couple of years away with Lancing, and also Gus after his recovery from leg surgery last year.
Rink 3
Steve Allen, Ray Wickenden, and Hammy Pannu 16 beat Ron Cocozza, Stan Birch and John Fairs 11.
Good close game played over lots of short jacks as befitted the first game of the season.
Rink 4
Tony Broad, Roy Bland, John Treasure, and Geoff Sheldon 17 triumphed over Roy Barclay, Derek Meechan, Ray Roberts and Colin Kent.
It was a day when straight woods could and should have won the day - but only if there was nothing in the way!! Welcome back to Roy after a non playing year.
Rink 5
Martin Ford, Tony Mabbott, John Proffitt, Alan Messer 18 lost to David Robbins, Ashley Harrison. Barry Parris and Stan Burvill 21
A rematch between Stan and Alan of the Championship Singles final. Bad luck for me it was a repeat of the result , but lots of fun to play in! Good woods were played on odd occasions by all and one more outrageous wick by me might have swung it! Still there's a lot of season to go yet.....
